Marching Ahead

Imran-Khan disobey

“Follow me to build a Naya Pakistan”, said Imran Khan, IK to a gathering of countless supporters on the night of the 19th August, 2014. “I shall be in front and you all behind me so I can take the bullet before all’’”.

Bold words, bold move, only expected when a leader is desperate enough to gain what he started his political career for. According to most of the analysts, it cannot be achieved what IK is after through these tactics of letting government breath for while and then threaten to march ahead on the state offices. I believe in my poor opinion, what ever IK is saying is right, just and true even most of his opponents would agree in their hearts, but even today if IK goes marching into the red zone with all his supporters following him, what is going to be the outcome of it. What Next; is the question which haunts us all. IK being a man of principals and playing some things safe even when the need was for hard line moves as sampled in his speech on 17th August where he called for a Civil Disobedience movement, would tend to avoid conflict or even if given a chance of taking over would avoid and settle to let things be solved constitutionally. It would lead to a massive disappointment in his supporters. The nations as a whole is watching every move he makes, every word he speaks to identify some ray of hope not just to get rid of Nawaz Shareef NS government but to cleanse the system once and for all. If the same constitutional way is followed, the system again would let it slip into the hands of the same people against whom these thousands have marched for days. I am not an anarchist nor I want my people to get harm but the only solution would be to cleanse the system through a revolutionary march towards the VIP zone, in mood of taking over and taking charge. But that cannot be the case in this century. The role of Pak army here needs to be taken into account too to see where does the army stand after todays movement of masses. Army is going to play a major role here but apparently it seems it shall not indulge directly rather dictate its terms to who ever would be taking charge after the fall of NS regime.

Toady IK needs to keep his calm and let the nation decide for itself rather than dictating his words to them. He has taken up a great responsibility of creating that new Pakistan for which we have been crying for our whole lives.  It is up to him now and only IK, to give this nation hope of a true change from which we all have been deprived off in 2013 general elections. I guess the masses of thousands gathered in Islamabad would decide their fate today. The government would not dare to have any conflict with them as it would  assure its downfall for good. Or if IK decides something against its will, then the worst would happen and he would have to pack his bags and leave politics for good.

19th August, 2014 truly is a day that might lead to the creation of a Pakistan that Iqbal dreamt and Jinnah struggled for. It might lead to the creation of true Naya Pakistan which IK and millions would want it to be. The Pakistan where every man is treated equally and justly, where every soul is a human being and considered valuable, where the green passport be once again recognized as a sign of pride and where the value of a soul is more than a dollar.

May Allah keep us safe and our nation safer. May Allah guide those who have taken up the responsibility to create THE PAKISTAN, the land of pure.

PTI’s Civil Disobedience

imran-khan-twitter greenMillions watched and the man of the hour Mr. Imran Khan Niazi, head of the second largest political party in Pakistan was on dice smiling and charging up the crowd for the most important speech of his political career according to him.

Listen, he said, I am about to say something really important, with his usual style of silencing the crowd. Then he says “ I thought for 12 hours and we are going into civil disobedience movement against the government.  The all charged up crowd went silent for a while. I believe most of them did not even remember Social Studies from intermediate to rewind their brains and know what Civil Disobedience is.

This is not the 30’s where empires can be brought down by the CD movements. Gandhi did it then for salt and almost succeeded but he did not accomplish his goal, now not paying utility bills or GST? We are living in a 21st Century where the automated system deducts every single penny before it gets to us. The call for CD from IK in my opinion is a long short and a week one too. I do not know whether he has discussed the idea with his people and advisors or not but I doubt Sheikh Rashid or Chaudharis would have given him a thumbs up for doing so. Even the workers demanded to reduce the deadline and finally Sheikh Rashid brought it down from 7 to 2 days. v-sign

I am a supporter of PTI since long but I don’t expect IK to listen to lame ideas from his advisors who have no idea about practical politics. He is being mocked and laughed at on channels right now. I honestly was not expecting this. Though his call for police and workers confrontation should be praised. This conflict would be deadly.

IK being a leader of the nation’s biggest party should act more politically and devise a more non confronting way of resolving the issue. I am not saying he should defuse the sit in as it seemed today in the beginning but there are more ways to put pressure on the government. This call for CD should at least lessen the pressure over the government in which it was for the last 3 days and it might lead to the downfall of our beloved leader’s popularity at large.

May Allah keep us safe and grant us a just leader and give us the power to recognize one too.
